1/3 ccooking oil

1 1/2 lbround steak, thick

1/2 cgrated parmesan cheese

1/3 cfine, dry bread crumbs (i use italian-style)

1beaten egg

1onion, minced

2 chot water

1/2 tsppepper

1 tspsugar

1/2 tsporegano

6 ozcan tomato paste
How To Make italian round steak

1Pound flour into round steak.

2Trim off fat and cut into pieces

3Dip meat into beaten egg.

4Roll meat in bread crumbs and 1/2 of cheese.

5Brown in oil.

6Put browned meat in shallow baking dish.

7Put onions in pan meat was browned in and saute'.

8Combine tomato paste, hot water and spices.

9Boil mixture for 5 minutes.

10Pour most of sauce over meat, add 1/2 cheese and rest of sauce.

11Bake covered at 350° for 1 hour or until tender.
