This recipe is simple as can be, but it can be tweaked in a number of ways. To make it more authentic, add half a cup or so of slivered almonds or cashew halves or pieces. Another yummy way to serve this dish is spooned over some fragrant Basmati rice.

Ingredients For lazy cook's chicken korma

  • 1 or 2 tsp
    cooking oil
  • 2 c
    cubed chicken
  • 1 jar
    patak's original cooking sauce
  • 4 c
    white or brown rice or basmati rice, cooked
  • ½ to 1 c
    slivered almonds or cashew pieces or halves (optional)

How To Make lazy cook's chicken korma

  • Browning cubed chicken in oil.

    In a deep skillet, heat cooking oil. Add cubed chicken. Saute for about 5 minutes or until chicken starts to brown.
  • Simmering chicken in seasoned sauce on stovetop.

    Pour cooking sauce over the chicken and bring to a boil. Simmer about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Cooked rice on stovetop.

    Cook rice in a separate saucepan according to instructions on package. For long-grained rice, simmer covered in boiling water for 15 minutes until water is absorbed.
  • Lazy Cook's Chicken Korma ready to serve.
