When my daughter was little, we used to go visit the lady up the street that everyone called Mamma Faye. She gave her a bite of the peanut butter fudge she made every fall through spring, and it was an instant hit. We miss Mamma Faye! Here's her recipe she shared with us before she passed away...

Ingredients For faye's favorite peanut butter fudge

  • 2 lb
    powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 13 oz
    evaporated milk
  • 7 oz
    marshmallow cream
  • 18 oz
    creamy peanut butter (like jiff. don't use generic)

How To Make faye's favorite peanut butter fudge

  • 1
    Put butter, milk and sugar in heavy saucepan. Stirring constantly, bring to a boil over med low heat. Once to full rolling boil, continue 6 min, stirring constantly. This is soft ball stage of candy thermometer. Remove from heat, add remaining. Pour into two greased 9x9 pans and cool. Makes 5 lbs candy.
